We are a yoga studio located downtown Salisbury, NC. We offer group classes and specialized programs throughout the week to accommodate your busy schedule. Your mental and physical wellness is our top priority; see how we can help you make the most out of your time.
YOGA FOR WELL-BEING
Monday & Fridays 9-10am with Nye
Level I & II
Everyone knows yoga is good for your health. When yoga is specialized, it can also help with a multitude
of health issues, including: Chronic pain, mobility issues, balance issues, impaired coordination and motor
skills, chronic illness and autoimmune disease, injuries, chronic anxiety and stress, depression PTSD and CNS disorders.
Join us for our Chronic Pain and Body Alignment series. A gentle class, with the benefits of deep stretch to alleviate chronic pain and return the body to proper alignment.
Cost is $10 per class.
YOGA FOR RESILIENCE
Mondays 5pm with Jody
Level I & II
It's the end of the day, you're tired, you're sore and stressed. Start your evening with a feel good yoga flow that builds physical, mental and emotional resilience. Breathe in clarity, exhale frustration, breathe in peace, exhale stress.
Flow with your breath through a series of asanas (poses) to help your mind and body reconnect, stretch, de-stress and float to final resting pose for complete relaxation.
UNWIND & FLOW
Tuesdays 10:30 am with Stacey
The practice of yoga develops attention to breath, body awareness, flexibility, strength, mindfulness, balance, and self control. It teaches us to train the mind. Practicing yoga has tremendous benefits for riders and horse people of all levels, ages, and experience. This class will focus on the many ways that the practice of yoga can benefit your horsemanship. You do not have to be a rider to participate in this series!
YOGA FOR ALL
Online Tuesdays & Thursday 4:30-5 pm with Ellen
Level I & II
This class is a beginner friendly flow class, offering modifications and adaptations of yoga poses to all students. In this flow style class, you will practice connecting breath, alignment and movement, in order to build strength, balance and flexibility.
Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 am with Wivianny
This class has a slower pace in order to focus on proper alignment of poses (asanas) and integration of movement and breath work (pranayama). This class may also include restorative poses and guided meditation. Modifications will be offered for each pose.
COST: Suggested studio donation of $5-$10; however, attendance is welcomed regardless of donation.
DEEP STRETCH AND RESTORE
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 pm with Wivianny
Level I & II
This class includes a series of slow, deep stretches followed by restorative poses, aimed at fostering deep relaxation. Although the pace of this class is slower, some poses may be more advanced and modifications will be offered with each pose. Yoga students are encouraged to honor their bodies with each pose by finding the best alignment for their bodies and being mindful of all body sensations during their practice.
YOGA OF 12 STEP RECOVERY
Thursdays 6-7 pm with Vanessa
Yoga of 12 Step Recovery is a specialized program that merges a 30 minute session of a 12 step-recovery based meeting and a 30 minute gentle yoga practice. The 12 step-based tradition of anonymity is followed and the initial registration paperwork is held in confidentiality. All persons in recovery and their loved ones are encouraged to attend. Donation appreciated but not required.
Restorative yoga is a slow paced meditative practice of opening the body through passive stretches using bolsters, blocks and blankets so poses can be held for a longer period of time comfortably. All skills levels are welcome!
BEGINNERS YOGA START DATE TBD
Saturdays 10 am with various teachers
This class focuses on proper alignment of each pose and the connection of breath and movement in a mindfulness/meditation practice. Yogic philosophy will be integrated into each class. With regular attendance of this class, students will be empowered to develop a frequent and consistent home practice.
@ Salisbury Salt Spa
Yoga Nidra or yogic sleep is a practice that promotes deep relaxation by taking one's mind and body into the place between awareness and sleep. During Yoga Nidra, you will be invited to set an intention or Sankalpa for your practice and then participate in a guided meditation. This class is a good fit for those looking for restorative rest and relaxation. Bolsters and blankets will be provided for this practice.
SUNRISE YOGA WITH CHLOE
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 am
Start your day with a vigorous and refreshing flow and strength focused yoga class. This is the hour of day for no excuses! Enjoy a wonderful yogi community committed to their yoga practice.
Saturdays 9 am with Chloe
This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every pose.
